January 4th, 2009-  Happy New Year!  I hope you are enjoying a fresh start in life this year, as I am.  It is Creative Equine Photography's Tenth Anniversary!  To celebrate we will be having various specials and promotions for new and previous customers alike.  So please check back often as I will post new specials on the home page.

Also, I have added a whole new 'Store' that you can shop in.  The items in my store are available as is, with my photos on them, or any picture you like from your own photo shoot.

My 2009 Stallion Calendar is now available!  Featuring 12 of my best studly subjects!  Order your copy now, they make beautiful gifts too.

In more personal news, I am expecting a new baby in March of this year!   So if you are considering scheduling a Winter photo shoot, sooner would be better.  :)

July 2nd, 2008-  Sorry it's been so long since my last update!  I've been busy working with Xpress Foto at several larger shows, shooting weddings and private shoots, and spending time with my horses and family.  The weather hasn't been very cooperative for shooting but I am making due with re-schedules due to flooding and thunderstorms.  Hopefully July will be nicer than it has been since I am all booked up for weekends!  To the left is a picture of our mare's new baby, Codachrome, same mare as the one at the top of this page.  He's growing fast and such a ham, will post more pictures of him soon!

February 12th, 2008-  Hope you're all staying warm!  I swear my horses look like abominable snowmen out there these last few weeks.  Big news today is I'm leaving for Florida this Friday to shoot with Jeff and Lori for two weeks.  We'll be covering eventing, advanced rider trials, and possibly polo crosse.  So if you don't hear from me for a while, it's because I'm soaking up the sun!  I will have my new phone with me though, so if you need to talk to me, call 920-639.9089.  In other news, I've finally had a little time to start practicing with my indoor lighting and backdrop.  It's a little more complicated than you would think!  Especially for someone who has used strictly natural light for the last nine years, but I'm getting the hang of it and the portraits are looking good.  Hope you all have a sweet Valentine's Day and I will see you in a couple weeks!

January 21st, 2008-  Good news today!  I have three new publications to add to my pile.  First is a full page ad and another picture in the Wisconsin Horsemen's News 2008 Stallion Directory, see the ads for HY Black Stetson and BL Alistar.  Then there is a photo of my favorite stallion and best horse model Tune of Kadron-Kaseyn in the February issue of Horse Illustrated, see page 81!  AND I just received my copy of MUSTANGS: Wild Horses & Burros of The American West which is a brand new book out and features an article on Thunder Bolt which is displayed with my images.

Now it's time to start preparing for the horse fairs and photo contests!  I'm also booking shoots for this year so get your dates in soon.  Weddings, Seniors, and on location shoots will be my main objectives this year with a couple trips across the country thrown in for good measure!

January 13th, 2008-  Happy New Year everyone!  I know this year will be a great one for both you and me.  I just arrived home from my long trip to Nekoosa to shoot Nikki's Senior Portraits.  She wanted something different than anyone else's images, so decided to have hers done in the Winter instead of Summer or Fall.  I applaud you Nikki and hope you enjoy your photos.  Have a wonderful Sunday!

December 8th, 2007- Thanks for visiting my blog!  Today I visited the Wisconsin Equestrian Center in De Pere to do a shoot for Dawn and her Friesian, Lily.  They were both wonderful subjects, and we are planning another shoot for them in the Summer.  It was so bitter cold today, we got the shoot done pretty quickly, but the photos turned out anyway!  Here is a sample from the shoot, you can see the rest in the proofs studio.  Contrary to popular belief, Winter shoots are good fun and perfect for snuggly portraits and dynamic action photos of your horse.

December 4th, 2007-  Thanks for visiting!  This is my first time posting a blog so please bear with me.  I figure I will use this blog to keep you all up to date on interesting things going on with my business, and maybe some more personal stuff too.
I have been very busy lately with orders, selling stock, and planning photo shoots for this Winter mostly, but also have bookings for 2008 already.

Okay, take a look at the picture to the left of the white dog... isn't he a cutie!?!  He was given to me yesterday so I could find him a good home, his current owner couldn't keep him anymore because they are moving to the city to a rather small house for a big family.  His name is Glacier and he is a total sweetheart!  Hope you enjoy his complete utter cuteness.

In more horsey news, my 2007 Spanish Mustang filly left for her new home in Ohio today.  It was terribly sad!  She is sure she is a human.  (Lightfoot is pictured above with her dam).  Lightfoot is going to be a part of 'Fly Without Wings' an equine experiential therapy program.  I think she suits that purpose and will be well taken care of, and hopefully spoiled a bit too!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
